（一）图表描述常用词汇
（1）图表：chart/graph/diagram、bar chart（柱状图）、pie chart（饼状图）、table（表格）

（3）比例：percentage, proportion, share
（4）占比：account for, take up, occupy, constitute, make up
（5）表明 / 描述：show, display, portray, depict, illustrate, reflect, demonstrate, reveal,
（6）清晰地 / 明显地：clearly, vividly, obviously, apparently
（7）增长 / 上升：increase, rise, grow, ascend, go up, climb（一般增长）；
surge, soar, jump（快速 / 大幅增长）
（8）减少 / 下降：decrease, decline, fall, descend, go down, reduce（一般减少）；
plunge, slump（大幅减少 / 暴跌）
（9）稳定 / 没变化：remain unchanged/constant/steady/stable
（10）表示变化程度：①表速度快、幅度大 : sharp/sharply, dramatic/dramatically, rapid/
rapidly, significant/ significantly, ②表缓慢，幅度小：slight/slightly,
slow/slowly, 
gradual/gradually, gentle/gentle
（11）大约：approximately, about, roughly, around
（12）对比：in comparison, by contrast,on the contrary, while, whereas
（13）表示到达最高点的 : peak at/ reach the peak at/ reach the highest point at+ 比例
（14）表达到达最低点：reach the bottom at/ reach the lowest point at+ 比例
（15）各自地 / 分别地：respectively（用于两者或者两者以上）
（二）图表描述常用句式
1. 第一段第一句常用句型 : 图表展示了 + 图表题目
（1）the pie chart gives us the data of…….
（2）what
looks abundantly clear in this bar chart is the changes of ……..
（3）this line chart offers the changes of………
2. 由图表数据可知：
（1）according to the data reflected by the chart, we can see/notice that……
（2）in the light of the data offered, we can conclude that……
（3）according to the data reflected by the chart, it is not hard to see that……
（4）according to the data given, ……
（5）as is shown from the above chart, ……
3. 表示“…. 占多少比例”的常用句式
（1） 事物 1 occupies the biggest proportion, which takes up 比例 1 , while 事物 2 ，
事物 3 and 事物四 account for 比例 2, 比例 3 and 比例 4 respectively.
（2）事物 1 and 事物 2 occupy the bigger proportions, taking up 比例 1 and 比例 2 respectively,
whereas 事物三 , 事物 4 and 事物五 account for 比例 2, 比例 3 and 比例四 respectively。
（3） the percentage/ proportion of xx occupies/account for/takes up + 比例
4. 表示数据增长 / 下降的常用句式
（1）the number of xx increased dramatically from 数字 in 年份 to 数字 in 年份 , while the
number of xxx declined from 数字 in 年份 to 数字 in 2010.
（2）the number of xx grew by 变化幅度 , from 数字 1 to 数字 2 over the 起始年到终止年的年数
years, whereas the number of mobile phone subscriptions in xxx ascended slowly from 数字 3
to 数字 4.
（3）there was a dramatic/sharp increase in xx from 数字 1 to 数字 2, while that of …dropped
slightly from 数字 3 to 数字 4.
（4）the percentage of xx rose from 比例 1 in 年份 to 比例 2 in 年份 , increasing approximately
比例变化幅度 ，while the percentage of xx remained almost unchanged during the period.
